Hello everyone, I’ve put together a unique opportunity on Tuesday 3rd November at 8pm for anyone considering life without school, already home educating but looking for more encouragement or wondering what home education looks like for older children and teenagers.
This is a photography exhibition exploring home education, a conversation between two experienced home educators and an open Q&A. So we’re getting through a lot of goodness in an hour and a half. Tickets are £5 and the event is free for members of my Patreon page with a 100% discount code that you’ll find there.
Come along for glimpses of home education in a wide range of contexts through the work of photographer, researcher and long-term home educating parent, Bekkie Graham. Bekkie is a friend of mine, her eldest is in uni and she’s at uni herself. Alongside this brief exhibition, Bekkie will chat about the different reasons families she photographed gave for opting out of mainstream education and the myriad of ways in which they facilitated and experienced learning. So it’s an opportunity to get a really wide, non-judgmental glance at the home education scene.
This is also a conversation between Bekkie and me. We’ll share our experiences and thoughts on questions that often come up about home education. Then we’ll up follow it up with an opportunity for questions from all of you. So grab your tickets and you’ll be sent a link for the live online event. Remember you can join my Patreon page for the discount.
