Water-to-Go – review and giveaway

Talitha and I have been testing out two Water-to-Go bottles we were sent to review. Each bottle contains a filter that claims to eliminate over 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and any other nasties.

I’d been looking for BPA-free water bottles for us and loved the idea of a built-in filter so we’d be able to refill while out. After all, we drink a lot of water!

She insisted on having the red one and informed me that the green one would be mine. With most water bottles, my 3.5-year-old gets frustrated trying to suck the water out the top so asks me to take it off so she can drink from it like a cup but she’s been fine with this one. She even asks for it when we’re home.

To activate the filter, you have to immerse it in water. The timer on the side also needs to be activated so you know when the filter is no longer working. The filters last two months.

Now, activating the timer is a pain. I had to work really hard at pressing the bottles against a hard surface to get the timer to pop in. We got there in the end but I think it’s a bit of a design flaw, to be honest.

The bottles don’t leak at all, which is another issue I’ve had with others, and I can taste the difference in the water so that must be the filter working. Bristol has really hard water, which probably makes the change more noticeable.

All in all, we’re loving taking these out and about with us. They clean well and the colours are bright and appealing.
