Win a Dyson with your messy room

Win a Dyson (1 of 1) Even dolly’s trying to understand what the coconut oil is doing there.

When Talitha used to go to a childminder, we’d get a report of what they got up to at the end of each day. Laurence joked that when I’m home educating her, it would be reassuring for me to give him a report. I joked in return that if I don’t tidy up then he’ll get to see everything we’ve been up to just by walking around the house. He laughed. Nervously.

I’m showing you my kid’s mess so you’ll show me yours. Argos has partnered with me to give away a Dyson Animal from Argos (worth Β£299.99) to the room most hilariously messed up by a child. To enter, take a picture of your messy room, share it on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #circusqueenargos and comment on this competition blog post with a link to your social media post.

Your comments on this post will likely go into moderation but don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye and approve them at some point each day. If posting on your personal Facebook profile, you’ll need to set the post to “public” so I can see your picture.

You can find more information about the actual Dyson Animal here.

Multiple entries permitted. Nay, encouraged. Your photographs may be featured in a roundup post when the winner is announced. The deadline for entries is midnight on Thursday 9th October 2014. I’ll pick the funniest entry over that weekend, and announce and contact the winner on Monday 13th October 2014.

Really looking forward to seeing your mess. Ha!

Well, it possibly isn’t as “lived” in as it sometimes is, true! πŸ™‚

Bit hard right now as our rule is that when the boys don’t tidy up at the end of the day we get to put what is left out away until further notice. Maybe I could take a photo of our wardrobe right now which resembles more a chidlren’s jumble sale than our wardrobe, while our living space is relatively clear of anything… sometimes life is like that.

I love that you have no real mess to take a pic of, Roz. I am not at all surprised!

I don’t like a messy room but my children beg to differ and its usually covered in Lego, playdoh, Barbies, hair bobbles etc etc. I really need a new hoover so will try and get a picture over the weekend (bet they are contrary and really tidy now)!

I used to have a tidy house until these came along, But i wouldnt have it any way, every toy out of the box every dropped rasin every stood on bread stick because I know one day all this will be gone and I’ll miss the ciaos that comes with these little mess makers πŸ™‚ Of course it would be amazing to have a dyson to clean up once there in bed πŸ˜‰

Our hoover has less suction power than a pensioner with a straw – I think I might need to enter this!

As a mum of 3 currently sharing a home with my parents while ours is renovated I am fighting a daily onslaught of mess in limited space. Whilst my husband and I are camped in the dining room the living room of the house has become an all purpose room which means its never not in use. It feels like painting the Forth bridge trying to keep on top of it. Our vacuum is currently on its last legs and protesting by not picking up like it used to but I’m still cracking the whip and generally break it out two or three times a day. I live in fear of the day it expires!

You’ve inspired me to keep a record off the ebb and flow of the mess thrown out by the whirlwind that is my youngest family members. (This is not to say that the older ones aren’t just as untidy!) Its only been one day so far but its been quite satisfying to see just why kids take up so much of your time.

This is the damage my oldest two did this morning after they woke up at 06:00 on a Sunday and I told them to go back to their room, they said alright we will build a den!!!!! They are now upstairs tidying, but I very much suspect that it will be in a worse state than before!!!!!

I love Dyson…but probably not *quite* enough to show my mess!! You’re very brave and I hope you win! πŸ™‚

    • September 14, 2014 / 7:52 pm

Lol, I’m GIVING away a Dyson, not trying to win one! But, fair enough. πŸ™‚

  11. September 14, 2014 / 10:46 pm

Oh I don’t think I could show you all my/our mess – it’s sometimes complete chaos. I would brave it and enter but I have two Dysons already. A portable cordless one DC59 and an animal pull along one too. Such a great idea for a comp though as I hate the perfection we all sometimes portray when we are secretly hiding chaos LOL xxx

This is actually not that bad for Maya. When I said “what a mess!” She looked at me defiantly and said “But we are playing Zoos mummy!” Ohhhhh… bad…not a mess…a ZOO.

I’m far to embarrassed to show the filth we live in, need to keep up the illusion y’know πŸ˜‰ but it’s SO good to see everyone else’s! ha! x

This mess was created in just 2 hours after school!! Obsessed with football he changed his clothes depending on what ball he’s kicking. And now he’s trying to build a Lego wembley stadium. I’m not touching that mess!!! πŸ™‚

So today we decided to play with some rainbow rice I had made. I expected mess… But not as much as we ended up with! It covered the whole floor. And the whole time I was hoovering it up with my very old hoover, I was wishing for a Dyson to make the job a little bit easier. Then I logged onto Facebook and if by some miracle…seen your competition. So here it is…our messy room…not sure if you can quite see the extent of the mess…but if you zoom into the last pic, you can see it was veryyyyy messy! #circusqueenargos

I live in a house of females – the two smallest are angelic and very much daddy’s girls – however when I try to find out why the oldest’s room is always in disarray I get sweet talked into hearing that it was the fairy who was making all the mess. Kind of hard to be anything but a big softie when she smiles like that!

I tweeted and tagged you – not sure how to share that:
